Two of my upcoming projects arent really new shoes per say.  I’m bringing life to 2 old pairs of a friend’s tita :)  We’re retaining the heels, and will just be changing the vamp / straps.  See above for preliminary sketches :)

P.S.  These are the comfiest shoes eveeeeeerrr.  I’ve been practically living in them since I finished it :D

Do you have some old shoes lying around?  You can bring them back to life by glitter-izing them!  There’s no better time than now while all that glitters is gold.. or in this case, is in!

What you’ll need:

1. Old shoe - experts say patent type is best!
2. Depending on the size and type of shoe, 1-2 small bottles/packs of glitter powder (I used the Leeho brand available at National bookstore)
3. Glue (elmers glue is perfect!)
4. Kraft sponge - which i didnt find at the time i bought materials so i used a small flat top brush instead which works just as fine!
5. disposable container where you’ll mix the glitter glue mixture
6. spraynet / acrylic spray to set

Instructions: (Make sure you’re working in an open area, over some newspaper to avoid making a mess!)

1. Mix the glue and glitter powder in a disposable container.  Leave some glitter powder for finishing.  The mixture wont look all glittery, rather it would look more white from the glue with specks of glitter showing
2. dab the glitter glue mixture on your old shoe starting at the heel area.
3. Once the whole heel is covered with the mixture, pour over glitter powder to achieve the full-on glitter effect. 
4. if you like the effect with just the heel covered in glitter, let it dry for a few hours and spray with spraynet or acrylic spray to set.
5. if not yet satisfied, you can still cover your whole shoe with the mixture, let it dry and spray to set.
6. your shoes are now ready to use!
